Microsoft Teams is built into Office365. It is a video conferencing and communication tool.
This course assumes you have familiarised yourself with Teams for desktop.
The examples below are for the iPhone version, but the iPad version is more or less the same, just some of the tabs are to the side and more buttons may be on display because of the larger screen.
To access Teams, download it from your phone/tablet App Store.
The first time you run the App, you will be asked to log in to Office365.
The main screen you will see once you have logged in is the Teams screen. Here any Teams groups you are a member of are displayed:

On the bottom is the menu.
This menu is pretty much the same as the one on the desktop/online version

Activity is anything that has happened in Teams that affects you or the Teams your are a member off
Chat is the messenger app. It works the same as your phone message app, just only texts people in school (within Teams)
Teams is the main screen (shown above)
Assignments relates to assignments and tasks that you would set a class (if using in lessons for remote learning)
More menu items are found in the ... menu:

Calendar your Outlook calendar
Calls again, just like your phone, allows you to direct call other Teams users. Either video or audio calls (and obviously only if they're online)
Files allows you to access files you have uploaded to Files you've recently access in Office365*, Teams, Your OneDrive and you can add other cloud storage accounts too (such as Dropbox).
*So if you've been working on a file in Word, it will appear in Recents so you can easily access it from, or upload it to, Teams.
Camera is a fantastic add-on that allows you to take photos, scan documents and create PDFs right from your phone. More details later.
Tapping on the Staff Team will drop down the Channels. Below is the General channel that all staff have access to (tap General):

appear). Posts is the Chat screen (above)

(Notebook, The training video and IT Support)
So just like the web and desktop versions. All these files can open on your device. (To edit them, you may need to download Office365 Apps from your App Store - but that's for another training course)
Above is the Staff Team. On the left, are Channels. Each channel has its own name, members, chat and calendar. You can see here there is just one channel. General. Everyone who is in the Staff Team is a member of the General channel. On the right, is the Chat. Anyone can leave messages here and everyone in the channel can read or reply to them.
How to Join a Meeting
Any meetings scheduled that include everyone in a channel will still appear in the chat.
So for a Full Staff Meeting, go into the Staff Team and make sure you're in the General channel.
On the right, in the chat (Posts tab), you'll find the meeting.

Joining the meeting is easy. It can be done by repeating the steps above, by clicking on the meeting in your calendar or by going to your calendar in Outlook. In all cases, just click the Join button: (in Outlook, if you click on the meeting in your calendar, there will be a join button there too).

At the bottom of your video, you'll see four options: Video on/off Microphone on/off. Speaker
Video and Microphone will switch on or off your camera and mic. You'll still be in the meeting but with these disabled others either cannot see or hear you. It's good etiquette to turn off the Microphone unless you're addressing the group, so other noises aren't picked up and transmitted. Likewise if you aren't paying full attention, (such as reading documents, sending chats) it would be a good idea to disable the cameras while you're doing it.
Speaker lets you choose whether to use the in built speaker or a bluetooth one.
Click Join Now to join the meeting.

At the bottom of the screen will be more options for during the call.
You can start/stop your video or mic.
Clicking ... will bring up the option to record the meeting, place the call on hold, share details by email.
Using The Camera App
Opening the camera app brings up a screen very similar to you device's camera app.
The main difference here is the options you have.
Photo - takes a photo
Document - creates a PDF by slowing you to take pictures of different pages. It even auto crops them for you.
Whiteboard - for taking a picture of a whiteboard for reference - again this auto crops and rotates for you.
Business Card - as above.
Select the document you want to take pictures of (in this example a Document) and frame it:

Press the White circle button to take the picture:

You'll see the app has auto rotated, centred and cropped the page. To add another page, click Add New and take the next picture.
Repeat until you've finished your document and press Done. It will allow you to save it or send it.
You can even annotate over the page if you wish:

There are many Microsoft Office 365 apps available for mobile that enhance what the desktop apps offer.
On iOS, download the Office app and it has an even more powerful document capture app which can capture just parts of a book or screen and paste them straight into a Word document, upload to OneDrive etc. This feature is called Microsoft Lens.
