You use your laptop in exactly the same way you would use a school PC.


Remember the same rules apply to all school equipment - whether used at home or in school.


Connect the charger to your laptop and plug it in. You may need to charge your laptop before it can be used without the charger.

To power on, press the power button on the top-right hand side of the keyboard.

Wait for Windows 10 to boot up.

Before you log in the first time, you must connect your laptop to the internet.


Your laptop will not log in unless it is connected to the internet.

Now log in to the laptop with the same username and password as you use for the PCs in school.


The first time you log in, your laptop will get its settings and Apps from the Internet. It might take up to an hour to complete this, depending on the speed of your broadband.Do not turn off your laptop until the setup is complete
Once the setup is complete, your laptop will go to the desktop.
You are free to use it.


The next time you login, you will not need to be connected to the internet.
