We have the facility to access the network from home.
All staff can access documents, shares and certain programs from home or offsite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SIMS, InPrint*, etc).
You’ll be able access it from https://athome.hvh.staffs.sch.uk
At the logon screen, enter your username and password you use for the system:
You’ll be presented with this menu:
Click a program and WAIT - the portal will need to connect to the server, log you in and load the program BEFORE displaying anything.
At this point you will be prompted to authenticate on your Microsoft Authenticator App.
Note: you will not receive a prompt from atHome - you will have around a minute to click 'Allow' in your app before the login times out and you will need to select your program again.
If you do not receive any notification in your Microsoft Authenticator App (or you receive another authentication such as a text message) you will need to change your authentication settings.
See this article for help
If asked, select any resources you would like access to and click Allow:

Note this method will not work with tablets and mobiles and to use on a Mac you will need to download Microsoft Remote Desktop from the App Store.
Click on the Settings Cog and Select "Download the RDP File":
Then open the apps as described above. Instead of opening in the web browser, your PC will either open Remote Desktop Services, or download a file.
If it downloads a file, just open it when its downloaded:
You may be presented with this screen. To select which resources you want to access, click the Show Details Arrow:
Check all of the resources then click Connect:
You may be asked log in again. Just do as above - HEDNESFORD\u.sername then your password.
You’ll be presented with your program. You can work as normal as if you’re on a school PC:
