Not Another PDF Scanner lets you create profiles, with your own customised settings so you can quickly scan without having to set up each one at a time with the settings you wish (Colour, BW, Duplex etc).
To create a profile, click New and New Profile
You can also click on the Profiles button and select New

In the next screen, give your profile a name.
Then click Choose Device to select your scanner.
If you get an error about Device not Found, make sure the scanner is connected and switched on. You may need to restart NAPDF Scanner.

Choose your settings, make sure the paper size is correct. 150 DPI is optimal for colour and 72 DPI for B&W, without making the files too big.
Auto Save - allows you to choose which file type you wish to save as. In some cases you might want a PDF and in some cases you might want a JPEG. It might be best to leave this unticked and choose each time you scan. Or create sperate profile (Colour- PDF and Colour - JPEG, for example).
Advanced - Allows you to set more detailed settings such as auto crop pictures or auto-straighten documents.
Click OK to save your profile.
To use a profile to scan, click the Profiles button:

Select your profile and click Scan.
To Edit the settings on a profile, click the profiles button and select your profile before clicking Edit (see above).
